How to get correct Amazon's seller contact number for your issue

blog post

Being a professional seller on Amazon can be thrilling and frustrating, all at the same time. When your running a business or even just selling products as a side hustle, you're going to need to get a hold of Amazon eventually.

And there isn't just a toll free number you can call. Amazon had that for a very long time but as they grew their FBA program, those numbers don't exist anymore.

The best way to get a hold of Amazon if you are an FBA seller on the (.com) platform is to visit this FBA Help page (must already be logged into Seller Central).

When you get there, be sure to be brief but detailed in your description of your problem. Read what you wrote twice before you continue and describe the issue like you would describe it to your 10 yr old brother.

Another way is to visit their forum on Seller Central (login required) and tag one of the admins in the group.

This is not the quickest way as forum moderation is slow and all admins are not created equal, however, you may find your answer among the other Amazon sellers in the group. To get ahead of potential inbound support tickets Amazon has recently introduced a comprehensive help page for new and experienced sellers. We've spent some time around in this page and it's quite helpful. Here, sellers can get help with things like:

  • finding out about customer fees

  • locating a buyer’s shipping address

  • account and payment policies

  • canceling a listing

  • and other basic FAQs.

Once you're logged in and submit a question it will turn into a "support case" on the Amazon side. This is important because if you don't get the answer you are looking for then you will want to reference your support case number when engaging a different Amazon representative.

Hands down the best thing you can do when dealing with Amazon is to get a support case number assigned to you. This support number permeates the Amazon support ecosystem and will be needed depending on how far up the chain you will need to escalate your case.
